Welcome to the official website of the New Forest Bowling Association.
The NFBA is comprised of 15 Clubs across the counties of Dorset, Hampshire and Wiltshire. From Waterside in the east to West Moors in the west and from Downton in the north to Iford Bridge in the south.
The Association's headquarters is based at Brockenhurst Bowling Club in the heart of the New Forest.


     In Division 1 It is difficult to get a true picture of the division as half the teams have not yet played the 12 games. Despite this, Fordingbridge are still top having had a 78-56 and 6-2 home win over Braeside. Their best were Richard Hindley, Graham House and Roly Ford with a 29-9 win. Ringwood are second, 10 points behind with a game in hand. They also had a home win, 75-64 for 7 points, against Lyndhurst, with Dan Davies, Rob Huggett and Lee Croad scoring 24-16. Waterside beat their visitors, Lymington by 74-49 and 7-1. Eric Donaldson, Alan Mills and Ian Winterburn were their best with 22-9. New Milton were home to Brockenhurst and suffered a 58-85 whitewash. Brock's best were Norm Cook, Paul Dudley and Andy Meek who won by 25-9.

     In Division 2 Downton are in the lead, just ½ point ahead of Iford Bridge. They were away to Lymington A and picked up 6 points with a 68-59 win. Neil Gillespie, Geoff Warr and Les Cousins were their best with 25-13. Iford Bridge had a close win, at home to Milford, with 71-68 and 6-2. Dave Webb, Colin Lakey and Steve Burns led the way with 21-10. Braeside A were home to Fordingbridge A who were too strong, winning by 80-68 and 6-2. Their top trio was Len Pope, Mike Flowers and Derek Purse who won by 30-12. Verwood were home to New Milton A and won by 61-55 and 6-2.

     In Division 3 Leaders, West Moors, came out on top in a close game against visitors Ringwood A, winning by 66-62 and 6-2. Jim Sillitoe's rink won by 22-8 for Ringwood and therefore West Moors needed the reply of 21-7 by Dave Sibley, Brian Holder and Peter Hunter. Highcliffe, in third place, closed the gap on Braeside B with a 74-57 and 7-1 home win over New Milton B. Their best were Mike Luker, Stuart Lane and Eric Snook with 22-10. Lymington B had a comfortable home win over Braeside B of 97-52 and 7-1. Graham Trotter's rink prevented a whitewash with a 1 shot win for the visitors. Lymington's best were Dennis Pitcher, Brian Nash and Gary Kirby who won by 32-11. Totton & Eling had a 100-56 and 8-0 home win over West Moors A.

     In Division 4 Iford Bridge A maintained top spot with an 80-50 and 7½ -½ away victory at Brockenhurst A. Their top rink was Richard Higgins, Bill Whitcher and Mike Poore with a 26-11 win. Third placed Waterside A went to second placed Ringwood B and beat them by 75-61 and 7-1. D Bignal, Brian Gillbank and Mike Crouch were their best with 27-13. New Milton C were home to Highcliffe A and picked up the full 8 points with a 98-35 win. Their best rink was Mo Grieve, Nick Maynard and Peter Richardson who won by 45-3.

     In Division 5 Lyndhurst A had a 77-57 and 7-1 home win over Verwood A. Ray White, Jack Read and Len Godden were their best winning by 21-9. Waterside B went to Fordingbridge B and they were four players short, losing one complete rink and a player down in another. Fordingbridge won by 76-34 and 8-0.
