Welcome to the official website of the New Forest Bowling Association.
The NFBA is comprised of 15 Clubs across the counties of Dorset, Hampshire and Wiltshire. From Waterside in the east to West Moors in the west and from Downton in the north to Iford Bridge in the south.
The Association's headquarters is based at Brockenhurst Bowling Club in the heart of the New Forest.


Division 1

Fordingbridge, played 8 won 8, seem unstoppable. Their latest victims were Braeside who, despite their home advantage, lost by 63-88 and 1-7. The visitor's best were Des Jarvis, Brian Cuckson and Roly Ford with 26-8. Ringwood, in 2nd place, picked up 7 points in their 63-52 home win over Brockenhurst. Their top rink was Dan Davies, Rob Huggett and Lee Croad with 18-5. Waterside went to Lymington and came away with 7 points for their 76-63 win. Terry Benham, Alan Mills and Ian Winterburn were their best with 26-14. Downton were home to Iford Bridge and lost on all rinks by 48-89.

Division 2

Fordingbridge A increased their lead over New Milton to 10 points with a 69-49 and 7-1 home win over Milford. Their best rink was Steve Fisher, Peter Squib and Roy Moretti with 27-8. New Milton are now just ½ point ahead of Lyndhurst after losing to them, at Lyndhurst, by 75-65 and 7-1. It was a very close match, level after 16 ends, but then Simon Baker's rink ensured victory with 6 on their last end. West Moors went to Highcliffe for a 70-47 and 7-1 win. Their best were Peter Langford, David Bird and Ray Hunt with19-8. Verwood, at home to Lymington A, won by 75-64 and 7-1.

Division 3

Braeside A, who top the division, and Braeside B played each other with the A side winning by 74-67 and 6-2. Their top rink was David Hirst, Peter Edwards and Alan Hart with 26-3. New Milton A, in 2nd place by ½ point had a close home win over Ringwood A by 69-64 and 6-2. Their best were John Darley, Brian Brown and Derek Johnson who won by 27-11. Totton and Eling lost at home to West Moors by 73-95 and 1-7. Waterside A were home to Iford Bridge A, winning by 59-56 and 6-2.

Division 4

4 Lymington B are in 2nd , 13 points behind New Milton B after losing to them at home by 54.66-65, with 2 rinks tied. New Milton's top rink was Mel Clark, Nick Maynard and John Lewis with 20-6.66. Fordingbridge B had a home win over Milford A by 81-67 and 6½-1½. One rink was tied but Alec Green, Andrew Copping and Bill Fraser won by 29-13. Ringwood B were home to Lyndhurst A and won by 88-65 and 6-2. Highcliffe A had a bye.

Division 5

Brockenhurst A beat their B side by 40-38 and 3½-½ and still lead by 1½ points from Waterside B and New Milton C. The only winning rink was David Cattley, Jeff Rowthorne and David Hall with 21-19, the others drawing 19 all. New Milton C were away at West Moors B and won by 37-31 and 5½-½. Waterside B and Verwood A both had byes.
