Welcome to the official website of the New Forest Bowling Association.
The NFBA is comprised of 15 Clubs across the counties of Dorset, Hampshire and Wiltshire. From Waterside in the east to West Moors in the west and from Downton in the north to Iford Bridge in the south.
The Association's headquarters is based at Brockenhurst Bowling Club in the heart of the New Forest.


     In Division 1, the top three all won and Fordingbridge, in second place, with an 8-0 home win over Brockenhurst, closed the gap on Ringwood by a point. Their best rink was Des Jarvis, Derek Purse and Nigel Hart who won by 23-10. The leaders, Ringwood, beat their visitors, Lymington by 81-65 for seven points, led by Dan Davies, Ed Melton and Lee Croad with 27-14. Third placed Waterside had a 81-52 and 8-0 home win over Lyndhurst. R Leppard, C Bunday and R Mitchell were best with 26-12. New Milton also had an 8-0 home win. They beat Braeside by 78-44, led by David Howell, Tony Reed and Bill Wallace who won by 26-9.

     In Division 2, the leaders, Downton, went to second placed Iford Bridge and won by 71-59 and 6-2, increasing their one point lead. Their best rink was D Pothecary, A Waters and D Colgrave who won by 29-8. Lymington A were home to Milford in a tight game that finished 56 shots each and the points shared. Lymington's best with 21-6 were B Gerrish, E Burrows and P Streets, and Milford's were Rob Perkins, Dave Terry and John Kitcher with 19-9. Braeside A hosted New Milton A and lost by 57-7 and 1½-6½. The visitor's best were John Thorpe, Derek Johnson and Roger Herlihy who won by 28-5. Fordingbridge A went to Verwood for a 81-51 and 7-1 win. Their top rink was S White, S Le Moisman and R Ford with 30-7.

     In Division 3, leaders West Moors were home to 2nd placed Braeside B and lengthened their lead with a 74-57 and 7-1 win. Their best rink was Terry Simmons, Ray Hunt and John Riddington who won with 24-9. Highcliffe had a comfortable 81-60 and 7-1 win over visitors West Moors A . Their top men were Derek Leech, Stuart Lane and Geoff Humphreys with 23-13. Lymington B took six points off visitors, Ringwood A, with a 62-57 win. D Pitcher, B Nash and G Kirby were their best with 20-11. Totton & Eling had an 89-64 and 7-1 home victory over New Milton B. The rained off match between Braeside B and West Moors A was played with the home side winning by 75-67 and 7-1. Their rinks skipped by Alan Watts and Bob Warman both won by 7 shots.

     In Division 4, the three matches were all away wins. Highcliffe A beat Brockenhurst A by 68-63 and 7-1. Brockenhurst were docked a point, by the League Secretary, which was awarded to Highcliife, for 'late reporting' of the game. New Milton C lost to Iford Bridge A by 68-78 and 2-6. Iford's best were Steve Read, Malcolm Chater and Colin Clark with 26-9. Ringwood B had a home loss to Milford A by 58-67 and 2-6. Milford's top men were Bob Ward, Dave Mossen and Peter Kaye who won 20-11.

     In Division 5, Fordingbridge B had a good 7-1 win over Waterside B by 83-56. Their best rink was Derek Brooks, Bob Smith and Peter Squibb with 30-13. Verwood A forfeited their match to Lyndhurst A.
